My main area of research involves working on developing an algorithm to quantify an individual’s exposure to magnetic fields. I am working on incorporating the fall-off from magnetic fields from various sources such as electricity substations, underground cables, overhead distribution lines etc. into an algorithm that will provide various metrics of magnetic field exposure. Examples of such metrics of a magnetic field are the time-weighted average, peak exposure, rate of change and exposure to transients. I am also working on measuring and modeling the magnetic fields that are produced by electricity substations and the cables carrying the electricity from the substations to the home
